Profile:

He completed his education in Mechanical Engineering and joined the general engineering industry in 1993. In 1999, he started a proprietary firm named “Prasad Innovations” to manufacture diamond tools for the dimensional stone processing industry. In 2005, as part of backward integration, he began manufacturing Metal Powders with support from senior scientists in the country. In 2012, Padmasree Enterprises had the opportunity to enter the Indian defense industry through the manufacturing of Tungsten Heavy Alloys.

In 2019, Padmasree Enterprises was converted into “Innomet Advanced Materials Private Limited.”

He was appointed as the Managing Director of our company pursuant to an Extraordinary General Meeting held on May 02, 2019.

Currently, he serves as the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of our company, overseeing day-to-day operations, formulating strategies, and driving the company’s long-term vision. He is an innovator, and all products manufactured are a result of his R&D-driven mindset. He regularly participates in national conventions on powder metallurgy and keeps himself abreast of the latest developments in the powder metallurgy industry. He also actively collaborates with experts in this field across the globe and constantly encourages young talented students through his talks.

On a personal front, he regularly practices yoga and meditation.

She holds an MBA in Finance as her educational qualification. Her career began with her own first-generation business, namely “Prasad Innovations,” engaged in the diamond tool manufacturing industry, where she worked for more than eight years. Later, she entered the metal powder manufacturing sector by contributing to Padmasree Enterprises, a family-owned partnership firm, which was subsequently converted into “Innomet Advanced Materials Private Limited.”

She has more than 20 years of work experience across various departments, including purchase, inventory management, product costing, HR, ISO implementation, marketing and business development, strategy, financial planning, working capital management, budgetary controls, financial structuring, mergers, and demergers. Her expertise has been a great source of strength for the growth of the company.

In April 2020, she received the “100 Successful Women Entrepreneurs in MSME” award from the MSME Ministry, Government of India. She is also on the Board of Studies for the Commerce Department at St. Ann’s College for Women, Mehdipatnam, Hyderabad, as an industry and alumni member. She contributes to formulating the curriculum for B.Com. courses across all specialisations based on industry requirements.

She has been a contributing member of the IIC (Innovation and Incubation Centre) at St. Ann’s College for Women, Mehdipatnam, Hyderabad, since its inception. As a committee member, her role involves encouraging startups, especially women entrepreneurs and students, to pursue entrepreneurial journeys and helping formulate content for planned programs.

She is also an active contributor to FICCI FLO, Hyderabad Chapter. She headed the incubation division for FY 2019–20 and FY 2020–21, mentoring and motivating members. She closely guided more than 60 women entrepreneurs and collaborated with FLO members across India.

Currently, she serves on the MSME Panel and the Defence and Aerospace Panel for Confederation of Indian Industry in Telangana State.

On a personal front, she is an avid badminton player and regularly practices yoga and Vipassana meditation.

She has been the backbone of the company’s growth and has been a member of our Board since the company’s inception. She oversees the day-to-day financial and statutory compliances of the company.

Profile:

Mrs. Lakshmi Kanthamma Chilakapati serves as a Promoter and Director on the Board of Innomet and has been with the company since its inception. She devoted several years to the Engineering Drawing Department at Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL). She has since dedicated herself to her family and household and continues to be a respected matriarch of the Chilakapati family.

Profile:

He is a BE with considerable experience in manufacturing and EPC businesses. He spent a major part of his career with Nuclear Fuel Complex (NFC), a part of the Department of Atomic Energy.

He became Deputy Chief Executive, Zircaloy Fabrication Plant, a part of NFC. Mr Rao has also been a consultant to a leading defence PSU, MIDHANI Industries.

Mr Rao is an expert in powder metallurgy and manufacturing processes. He is now leading the overhauling of manufacturing operations at Innomet, and will drive operational efficiency and help in setting up the new facility.

Mr Kota Bhanu Shankar Rao

Profile:

Dr K. Bhanu Sankara Rao obtained B.E. (Metallurgical Engineering, Nagpur University, 1973), M.Tech. (Physical Metallurgy, 1975), and Ph.D. (Metallurgical Engineering, University of Madras, 1989). He is an expert in the fields of high-temperature materials development, mechanical metallurgy, physical metallurgy, powder metallurgy, welding science and technology, and structure-property correlations.

Dr K. Bhanu Sankara Rao provided excellent R&D support in metallurgy for the development of Fast Breeder Reactor technology in India while working in DAE at Indira Gandhi Centre for Atomic Research, Kalpakkam during 1977-2009. His sustained contributions resulted in the development of several high-temperature materials for reactor core structural components and steam generators. He played a pivotal role in the development of reduced activation ferritic-martensitic steels meeting very stringent chemical composition requirements, with several trace, tramp and impurity elements at PPM levels, for the Indian Test Blanket Module (IBM) of the International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor (ITER), currently being built in France through international collaborations.

He has also been associated with the development of Oxide Dispersion Strengthened Ferritic-Martensitic Steel for fuel clad tube applications of FBRs using the powder metallurgy route. He is an internationally recognised expert in the mechanical metallurgy of high-temperature materials and in ensuring structural integrity through materials sustainability.

During 2009-2013, he made significant contributions towards the establishment of the School of Engineering Sciences and Technology at the University of Hyderabad. He served as Government of India, Ministry of Steel Chair Professor during 2013-2018, Pratt & Whitney Chair at the University of Hyderabad during 2018-2021, and as INAE Distinguished Professor and Technologist at IIT Hyderabad during 2022-2023. Currently, he is associated with IIT Hyderabad as Professor of Practice.

He received the prestigious Best Metallurgist Award (1995) and National Metallurgist Award (2012) from the Ministry of Steel, Government of India. He has also been the recipient of the Platinum Medal (2016), G.D. Birla Gold Medal (2004), Binani Gold Medal (1989), and SAIL Gold Medals (2000, 2004) from The Indian Institute of Metals. He received USA-NASA Appreciation in 1994 for his meritorious accomplishments in research areas relevant to aerospace materials and engineering. He has also received several awards from the Indian Institute of Welding and the Materials Research Society of India.

He was honoured with the Dr N. Kondala Rao Memorial Research Award Lecture in 2020 for his sustained contributions towards achieving self-reliance in strategic materials. He also delivered the Daya Swaroop Memorial Lecture of IIM during 2012.

He served as an Independent Director of MIDHANI (2001-2014) and as Technical Expert during 2015-2021. He also served as a member on the committees of the Board of Research in Nuclear Sciences (BRNS), Board of Research in Fusion Science and Technologies (BRFST), Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB), Aeronautical Engineering and Research Board (AERB), as President of India Nominee for recruitments in National Institutes of Technology, and as Chairman of the DMRL Laboratory Assessment Board (2017-2023).

For his outstanding contributions to materials science, technology and metallurgical engineering, he has been elected Fellow of ASM International, Indian National Academy of Engineering, Indian Academy of Sciences, Indian Institute of Metals, Indian Structural Integrity Society, and Telangana Academy of Sciences.

He served as Chief Editor of Transactions of IIM (2003-2017) and Transactions of the Indian National Academy of Engineering (2019-2021), and as Editor of International Materials Reviews and Materials for Energy Systems, besides serving as a member of the Technical Books Committee of ASM International for several years. Currently, he is serving as Editor-in-Chief of IIM Metal News.

Sanjna Chilakapati holds a degree in Materials Science & Engineering from University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and brings expertise spanning advanced manufacturing, analytics, and business strategy. She leads market and product development and transformation at Innomet, with a focus on building the systems and capabilities that position the company for its next phase of growth. She is an active participant in the powder metallurgy industry, both in India and internationally.

Profile:

He worked in different organisations at the operational level and gained rich experience and exposure in the metallurgical industry. He joined ‘Padmasri Enterprises’ [later converted into ‘Innomet Advanced Materials Private Limited’ (‘Innomet’)] in the year 1999.

He has been a source of strength to the organisation and has contributed significantly to the growth of the Company in terms of sourcing technical skill sets, operations, maintenance, strategy, product development, marketing, production, administration, HRD, etc.

Further, he has been instrumental in bringing customers and retaining them over the span of 24 years with the Company through his personal rapport, coordination and customer-centric approach. He has taken great pains and made tremendous efforts in building the Company to its present level.

His major contribution to the growth of the Company can be attributed to operational excellence, customer appreciation and sourcing, especially in establishing customers from the diamond tool industry through his technical expertise and cordial relationships.

Profile:

He retired as Director of Production of a Defence Public Sector Undertaking (DPSU) in the year 2009. Later, he worked as a Senior Faculty member at the Institute of Public Enterprise (MBA) until 2011. From 2012 to 2014, he worked as a Consultant at Vinir Engineering, Bangalore, and from 2014 to 2015 as a Consultant at Valmet Engg, Chennai.

He joined the Company in 2016 when it was a partnership firm. He brought to the Company nearly five decades of experience in the metallurgical industry, particularly in tungsten heavy alloys.

He has been a cornerstone in building up the Company and, in particular, establishing Innomet as an approved vendor for several DPSUs in India and abroad. His contribution to the Tungsten Heavy Alloys division in marketing, product approval, testing and related activities is commendable and invaluable.

Profile:

After his stint at Allwyn, a PSU, he started his own organisation in refrigeration and air-conditioning services. He joined the partnership firm in 2012 (subsequently converted into ‘Innomet’).

He has vast experience of more than 35 years in different fields, earning him a unique identity of his own in industry circles. His contribution to Innomet started with the establishment of the Tungsten Heavy Alloy plant, product and process development, and team development.

Profile:

Mr Murali Krishna is a graduate in Metallurgy with almost 30 years of hands-on experience in melt atomisation. He has worked in various metal powder manufacturing companies across India. His past experience is primarily in metal powder manufacturing through the processes of gas and water atomisation.

He has brought immense technical expertise and process technology in metal powder manufacturing to the organisation, through which he has contributed significantly to Innomet, particularly in the Metal Powders Division in product and process development, and team development. He also played a key role in developing the gas atomiser.

Profile:

Mrs Aanchal Sethia is the Company Secretary & Compliance Officer of the Company. She has been associated with the Company since 1 September 2023.

She is a qualified Company Secretary from the Institute of Company Secretaries of India since December 2017. She also holds a Master’s degree in Law and a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce.

She has post-qualification experience of 6 years with various professional firms and private companies as a Company Secretary, and is well-versed in secretarial compliances.
